No additional specimens have come to light, so their taxonomic position remains uncertain. Age, distribution, palaeoecology Santonian III to Campanian II (Richards Bay BH-9 borehole). Too few valves are available for an assessment of the species' palaeoenvironmental preferences, though it appears to be confined to moderate-water depth (Fig. 47B, Table 4)..
