Berlin. Tourists visit Topography of Terror indoor and outdoor museum & memorial - Excavated Gestapo building & Berlin Wall


The Topography of Terror is an indoor and outdoor museum in Berlin on the site of the headquarters of the Nazi Regime SS and Gestapo (1933-1945). The buildings were mostly destroyed by Allied bombing but the cellar of the Gestapo headquarters was excavated and turned into an open air memorial and museum. The nearby Documentation Centre and Exhibition hall was designed by architect, Ursula Wilms and landscape architect, Heinz W Hallman.
