Within the limits of thisarticle I can present only aresume of the work of theexpedition. Before we leftNew York we decided ten-tatively to include in themonographic work, twenty-two genera of birds. Suc-cess attended our efforts tosuch an extent that we wereable to find and study everyone of these groups. In thepresent article I shall dealonly with our discovery ofthese two and twenty genera.
