The call for pans of bulbous stock is heavy. Other good Bellera are rambler roses, bougain- villeas, genistas and azaleas. Olub Field Day. Beautiful weather favored the field day of the Gardeners' and Florists' Club, at the W. W. Edgar establish- ment, at Waverley, March 19. There was an attendance of sixty-five, in- cluding a considerable number of la- dies. The greenhouses were filled to overflowing with high-grade Easter plants in the pink of condition. There were 15,000 giganteum lilies, thousands of azaleas in all the leading sorts; also genistas, acacias; ramblers, such as Ex- celsa. Lady Gay, Dorothy Perkins and Tausendschon; baby ramblers, a grand lot of hybrid perpetuals, Bhododendron Pink Pearl, French hydrangeas, metro- sideros, etc. Coming along to fill places soon to be vacated by these plants were thousands of cyclamens, Lorraine, Cin- cinnati, Melior and Chatelaine be- gonias, and bedding plants in great va- riety for Memorial day trade. This noted plant factory never had a finer lot of stock. An excellent collation was served after the inspection of the houses. Then followed short addresses from a number of the visitors, who were cor- dially welcomed by Herman H. Bartsch, the genial and capable manager
