Navy Petty Officers 2nd Class Jeremy R. Spaulding and Gerardo Arbulu retrieve a BQM-74E aerial drone following an air defense exercise with and Indonesian naval forces during exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training underway in the Java Sea on July 28, 2005. Spaulding and Gerardo Arbulu are both search and rescue swimmers assigned to the dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). The training is a regularly scheduled series of bilateral military training exercises with several Southeast Asia nations designed to enhance interoperability of the respective sea services.
