Everyone in the au-dience who had failed to improve their oppor-tunities of mastering the intricacies of Latinprose composition were filled with regret fortheir negligence. From the appearance ofthe club in the processional to the close of thebanquet there were many attempts at rapidtranslation on the part of the audience, thesuccess of which could be judged bjT theblank expression which would come over thefaces of manj when there seemed to havebeen a joke cracked or a sublime expressionreached, as evidenced by
