'Ramon Molina' from Puerto Corinto, Nicaragua is staying at the Casa Belen shelter after returning from the US-Mexico border.

By entering Mexico illegally at the Guatemalan border, many Central Americans and other migrants from countries across the globe, begin their increasingly dangerous odyssey northward, through the country in search of work and a better life in the United States. Casa Belen, an immigrant way station in Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico provides food and shelter for migrants. 'Ramon Molina' from Puerto Corinto, Nicaragua is staying at the shelter after returning from the US-Mexico border and an unsuccessful attempt to enter the US. He was kidnapped and tortured by human traffickers who identified themselves as members of the Zetas criminal organization. He asked to be photographed without showing his face in fear of reprisals.
