The module is being positioned by the Shuttle's Canadarm, in order to connect it with the Russian-built control module Zarya. Launched in November 1998, Zarya was the first component of the ISS. This image was taken during STS-88, (12/4/98 - 12/15-98). During the mission, Zarya was captured by Endeavour's Canadarm and connected with Unity.
