The telephone tower in Rimfrost, the end of the 19th century. On the roof of the new telephone station at Malmskillnadsgatan in Stockholm, in 1886 a huge tower was built in iron. From there, 4000 telephone wires went out over the rooftops in the city. The station was the world's largest of its kind and Stockholm the telephone densest city in the world at this time. The telephone tower remained until 1953 when it must be demolished after a fire. The tower burned on July 23, 1952.
