The children ranged in age from six to twelve years old. Reinert met the children’s curiosity with openness and honesty, sharing his own personal experiences and encouraging the children to talk about their concerns as well as their accomplishments. Reinert also presented each military child with an “All American Hero” award during a children’s program in honor of their unique strengths and sacrifices.
