Fruit large to very large ; roundish, inclining to conical ; skin pale, cream-colored ground, mostly covered with purplish crimson ; flesh white, firm, sub acid, with a brisk, pleasant flavor. Tree a Jree grower and abundant bearer. This is one of the largest and handsomest apples, and worthy of extensive cultivation. Early fall. 50c. Sutton Beauty—Fruit medium to large, roundish, handsome ; skin waxen yellow, striped with crimson ; flesh whitish, tender, juicy, sub-acid ; quality very good ; a long keeper. Tree a free, handsome grower, and productive. One of the most valuable market varieties in Western New York. Dec. and Mar. 25c. Titovka (Titus Apple)—Origin, Russian. Large ; roundish ; color greenish yellow ground, striped and marbled wiih light red in the sun ; when fully ripe, the ground is yellow, and the red, deejj and dark, mostly covering the fruit, and usually a light bloom ; flesh rather coarse ; tender, juicy, very mild acid ; quality not high, but good. Tree a free grower and very productive. Foliage very large Ripe in September. 50c. Yellow Transparent—A Russian apple, medium size, roundish oblate, slightly conical ; skin pale yellow when fully mature ; flesh tender, juicy, sprightly subacid; good ; -d. free grower. August. 50c.
