Baroque rooftop architecture Mala Strana Prague Czech Republic Europe
Mala Strana is also known as 'Lesser Town' or 'Little Quarter'. After the great fire of 1541 it was destroyed and rebuilt. Its Renaissance architecture was given a baroque makeover in the 17th and 18th centuries. It became a bohemian quarter befitting of its 'left bank' position and temporary home to Mozart and Casanova.
