London Southend Airport, Essex, UK. 20th Aug, 2023. The RAF’s Red Arrows aircraft have been using the relatively quiet civilian airport in Essex to operate from for this weekend’s seaside airshows at Eastbourne and Folkestone. The team have taken off at dusk bound for their RAF Waddington base in Lincolnshire. After missing event commitments on Wednesday and Thursday due to a technical issue, the team displayed at Eastbourne on Friday and Saturday before their arrival at Southend to stay overnight and further shows on Sunday
