Hot summer day when children played for hours in the pulsating water jet fountains of Williamson Square, while parents enjoyed a drink in the warm sunshine. The wonderful dancing jets of water are now up and running in the city centre. Liverpool, Merseyside, UK
Williamson Square is in the city centre of Liverpool, England. It was initially laid out as a residential square in the 1745 by Mr Williamson It originally only had buildings on the lower part and the other three parts weren't covered. This public realm project involved a dry plaza fountain consisting of a programmable combination of 40 arcing clear stream jets. The installation included illumination, water treatment systems, an automatic water top-up and level controls, as well as a fully programmable controller. A particular feature of this display is the addition of a dry fog display that uses a total of 285 fog jet nozzles, which are capable of producing a fine mist or a dense, dry fog.
