Tree house which is called as ‘Erumadam’ in Malayalam is a house built on top of a tree. It was the tribal people who lived in tree houses in the past. Earlier the tribes stayed in these tree houses to protect themselves from the attack of the animals. The tree houses now are built in plantations as watch tower.
