A model 1909 officer's shashqa, awarded for bravery with an applied Order of St. Anne. Nickel-plated single-edged blade with fullers and two additional grooves. One face bears a beautifully engraved Cyrillic dedication "Porutschiku Fedorovu ot n tsch 5 Moshshevelovago". Cyrillic maker's mark for Zlatoust and date "1916" stamped at the ricasso. At both sides of the hilt engraved Cyrillic inscription "For Bravery". Brass hilt with cipher "A III" and applied, enamelled Order of St. Anne (chipped). Grooved plastic grip.
