Length without. gin of the pro thorax and the undersurfai mandibles 46 mm., that of the mandibles 38 mm.; breadth at the front angles of the head 21 mm., breadth at the shoul- ders 17 mm. — The colour is dark bronze green with a strong coppery red hue ; a large spot at the base of the mandi- bles (above as well as below) and the upper half of the fe- mora yellowish red ; the teeth and the apical portion of the mandibles, the palpi, the antennae and the tarsi black. The front ma ruin of the clypeus and of the mentum. the front and hind mar- e of the tarsi fringed.
