At the exhibition of the Horticultural Society of New York held Wednesday, January 20, at the American Museum of Natural History, there was a good display of flowers, especially orchids. The displays of cut orchids by Lager & Hurrell, who received first prize, and Clement Moore were exceptionally fine. The next exhibition will be held at the same place Wednesday, February 17. Schedules will be sent on application to the secretary, George V. Nash, New York Botanical Garden, Bronx Park, New York. The lecture by William N. Craig^ on "A Year's Vegetable Supply from the Home Garden," was listened to by over 100 people and proved one of the most successful lectures ever given by the society. The Northern Westchester Horticul- tural and Agricultural Society held its twelfth annual dinner January 21 at New Castle Inn, Mt. Kisco, N. Y.
