Rope fragments from the wreck of the East Indies shipwreck 't Vliegend Hart, but possibly subrecent, destroyed in 1735. The elongated piece of rope is brown-orange discolored, partly covered by a purple-shiny layer caused by the proximity of degrading iron. It was once probably part of a fishing net and comes from a lead role.
