The Colosseum was the Flavian Amphitheatre built by Vespasian in what was the lake of Nero’s Golden House is the most famous monument in Rome. With its 57m of height it is a testimony to the great architectural knowledge of the Romans. The spectacles of duels between gladiators in its arena lasted up to 100 days.
