Tropeognathus pterosaur. Computer illustration of a Tropeognathus sp. pterosaurs fighting over food whilst in flight over a sea shore. These large winged dinosaurs lived during the Late Cretaceous Period (around 100 to 66 million years ago), in what is now South America. Adults had an estimated wingspan of around 250 cm and a skull of up to 29 cm long.
