Kansas City. Satellite image of the area around Kansas City (lower right), Kansas, USA. North is at top. The street grid of Kansas City proper is at lower right, though the suburbs cover a much larger area than the 10-kilometre-wide area seen here. The main river is the Missouri River, seen meandering across top and right. The tributary at bottom is the Kansas River. The city airport is at bottom right, on the eastern banks of the Missouri River. Across the river, the large industrial area at centre right is the GM-Fairfax car assembly plant.
