Cover the be-ginning end with thestrip and carry it overthe anterior portion of the shield; complete the dressingby adhering the remaining end of the plaster to the sideof the toe opposite the beginning. In this way the anterior portion, which is mostliable to loosen up from the constant rubbing of the stock-ing and shoe in walking, is doubly bound to the toe (Fig. 3).
