William Arrol (1830-1913), Scottish civil engineer. Arrol built the second Tay Railway Bridge (1882-1887), Forth Railway Bridge (1883-1890) and Tower Bridge, London (1886-1894). He was also Liberal MP for South Ayrshire from 1892-1906.
