Windsor, Berkshire, UK. 23rd March, 2024. A huge temporary 35 metre tall observation wheel opened yesterday in Alexandra Gardens, Windsor, Berkshire. The wheel gives views across Windsor Castle and the town. Planning permission for the wheel was granted by Councilliors at the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, however, it is receiving mixed reviews. Some people think the ferris wheel will bring more tourism to the town whilst some Windsorians think it is inappropriate for the town due to its location in the historic Alexandra Gardens. The Royal Windsor wheel will be open every day between now and 2nd September 2024. The cost is £8 per adult and £6 per child aged 3-15. A family ticket costs £25.
