SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHS - GHOSTS Photograph (with enlargement) of the Hollybush Ghosts. The phograph to the left was taken in 1928 at Holly Bush, near Malvern, by Mrs. Wickstead. On development, the image revealed a couple embracing by a pair of tombs [see enlargement of detail, to right]. Mrs. Wickstead had examined the tombs, and noted that one was the grave of a soldier who had died in service, the other the grave of a girl who had died a few months later: Wickstead found herself wondering if they had been lovers. No other people were in the graveyard when the photograph was taken.
