For example, aenigma and cingulatus (pp. 372, 373), which in struc- ture of the head and number of mandibular penicils are forms of Diploexochus, have the very broad pronotum characteristic of Bethalus and Cubaris. On the other hand macrodens (p. 311) is a Bethalus as.
