A special baggage car has been built to take care of the parcelbusiness along the line. The electrical energy is generated as three-phase alternating cur-rent of 7,500 volts, stepped down and transformed to direct current 1 here arc four L500-kw. units for normal demands and in addi-tion there is a fifth unit of 750 kw. The four main engines weresupplied by Yates & Thoni, as were the boilers. They are of thehorizontal cross compound type and the normal load of each is May jc.
