Thefoundations and floors are made especially strong toresist the ravages of the white ant, and both floorsand verandahs are well cemented. The roofs aredivided by a foot of wall between the verandah andthe house, and are covered with Mangalore I think they are perhaps the best housesof any Asylum of the Mission, though in no respecttoo good and with nothing unnecessary or extravagantabout them. The lepers gave me a very touching reception, andit was clear that my visit was a great event to poor souls, so lately homeless and helpless,. Three singing lepers, Ramachandrapuram.
