A well deserved victory. Matogrosso, Brazil: THESE SPECTACULAR images show how a jaguar flipped a caiman and killed it in one death-bite. One image shows the jaguar tossing the caiman ? which is a deadly predator in its own right ? while clamping its jaws around the reptile?s neck while other images show the hapless creature being dragged to shore by the victorious jaguar. Jaguars are the largest cat species, growing up to six feet in length and weighing around 348 pounds. Their tail can be 18 to 30 inches long and is the shortest of any big cat. These images were taken by jaguar tour guide and photographer Rodrigo Chávez Noriega (37) in the State park Econtro Das Aguaz in Matogrosso, Brazil using a Canon 4D Mark II camera. ?I was steering a boat in search of jaguars,? said Rodrigo ?At that moment we found this female. We accompanied her for several minutes since she was looking for food. ?She could see the caiman several meters away, the jaguar remained motionless for several minutes and slowly approached until she made the big jump and attacked directly to the head of the caiman and killed it with a single bite. ?I love to be able to appreciate the power of nature in its maximum expression and to be able to teach it to the whole world so that they know and appreciate nature and thus generate awareness and take care of it. ?It is something incredible to be able to appreciate these animals so close, to see their behavior, you realize their true mediadrumimages/RodrigoChávezNoriega
