SAN ANTONIO (August 15, 2018) Capt. Maryann Mattonen, commanding officer of Navy Medicine Training Support Center (NMTSC) and Blondina Porter, a World War II Navy Nurse, cut a cake in celebration of Porter’s 100th birthday at the San Antonio Brookdale Assisted Living Facility. Porter was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1948, as a Lieutenant.
