The Hokkaido’s oldest organ is displayed in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Pierson who were devoted to preach Christianity in the Kitami area. The organ, made by the American company Mason and Hamlin, in 1878, is the very instrument that was played by Mrs Pierson during church services. It is still used at concerts held in this house.
