Fruit, medium or above, obovate, rounded; skin, rough; color,. greenish yellow, yellow increasing at maturity, some russet around stem and eye; stem, medium ; cavity, shallow; calyx, partly closed; basin, narrow; core, above medium; seeds, dark brown, pointed ; , white, buttery, juicy, vinous and sprightly. Season, October. Honey. This is a delicious little pear, received some years since by Prof. Kirkland, and which we have been unable to recognize with any description published, if we except a slight note in Prince's Pom. Man. The tree is moderately vigorous; wood, yellowish brown, an early and productive bearer of fruit, uniform in size and regular shape.
