Etruscan tomb (Column Tomb) in San Lorenzo Nuovo, province of Viterbo, Italy.

San Lorenzo Nuovo is a small town located near the Lake of Bolsena in central Italy. The name of the village reveals its recent origins, but many Etruscan evidences are widespread throughout its territory. In fact the ancient village called San Lorenzo alle Grotte, was inhabited by the Etruscans from 770 a. C. There are many tombs and the most important, the “Column Tomb”, has a single rectangular room and a double sloping ceiling, held up by a projecting rafter and a column of the Tuscan order.
