Being verticalin construction, all pistons wear equallyon all sides. The amount of water passing throughthe condenser is regulated by the ver-tical adjustment of the injection conewhich acts as a nozzle to form a thinspray which is thrown out at an angleof 45 degrees. This falls upon a succes-sion of shelves, thus forming secondarysprays through which the exhaust steamfrom the engine must pass.
