For such fabrics the loom illustrated in diagrams Figs. 903, 904 and905 (as is claimed by its inventor, C. Strobel), is of special advantage. Figs. 903 and 904 represent vertical sections of the loom; the parts being shown in differentpositions. Fig. 905 represents a vertical section of the loom in line x x Fig. 903. The shedding,picking and take up motions are substantially the same as are ordinarily used in looms. (Theletters of reference in all these drawings are identical.) The crank and cam shafts A 0 are geared by gear-wheels, each mounted on shafts andmeshing together, and are driven in the usual way.
