Gregynog Hall was formerly the home of art collectors Gwendoline and Margaret Davies from 1924 until their deaths in 1951 and 1963, Gregynog in the twentieth century was closely associated with the arts. The house is about a hundred and fifty years old, though parts of an older house have been incorporated, and there has been a hall on the site since at least the 12th century.
