Thai people move out of the Lotus Super Center Bankapi which has installed a Christmas corner with a fir tree and other ornaments. Thailand is predominantly Buddhist so Christmas is not an official holiday, but the country manages to embrace the Sanuk (enjoyment) of this festive period and give it a distinctly Thai twist. There is also the obvious commercial aspect which Thai retailers and advertisers have been quick to exploit Christmas as a marketing tool.
