The Arbayun Canyon is one of the most spectacular natural viewpoints in Navarra. It was excavated by the river in the rock. It's almost 400 m deep.

The “Foz de Arbayún “ is one of the most spectacular natural viewpoints in Navarra. It is located in the east of the Foral Community, in the transition zone between the pre-Pyrenees and the Pyrenees of Navarra. This gorge is a deep canyon excavated by the Salazar River in the limestone rock of the Sierra de Leyre, which is about 6 km long and almost 400 m deep with vertical walls. It has been declared a Natural Reserve to protect the largest colony of Griffon Vultures in Navarra, in addition to other types of birds of prey such as golden eagles, Egyptian vultures (when they have not migrated) and the bearded vulture (although it is quite difficult to see).
