ANDERSON, THOMAS : Lance-Corporal,4th Battalion Gordon Highlanders ; son of Thomas Anderson, cabinetmaker, Aberdeen ;born, Aberdeen, 26 June 1890 ; educated atAberdeen Grammar School; graduated ,1912. He taught at Mackie Academy, Stone-haven for two years, and for another two yearswas a teacher at the Public School, enlisting he worked at a munition factoryin Aberdeen from October 1915 to May 1916. Anderson enlisted in the 3/4th Gordons, 25May 1916, went through special courses inmusketry and sniping at Stafford, and qualified.
