Garbage trucks wait at the weigh bridge as they enter the Dandora dumpsite. Nairobi City County government is planning to set up a recycling plant that will turn the waste deposited at the Dandora dumpsite into energy. The sprawling dumpsite receives approximately 2,000 tons of waste daily, making it the busiest working site for waste pickers to find plastics and other recyclables.
