The Barrie Council have reported infavor of submitting a by-law to raise$30,000 for sidewalks and sewers. By a majority of 84 the by-law toraise $20,000 for a system of water-works at Gravenhurst was carried. The Provincial Government and are arranging to instal a newwaterwork ssystem at Prince Rupert. In extensions to the Victoria water-works $125,000 will, be spent, and onadditions to the sewage system $45,000. The by-law to raise $25,000 to repairand complete the Carman, Man., water-works system was carried bv a largemajority.
