San Francisco water . Aqua Claudia within the Eternal City. Above the archway in the lower left-hand picture Claudia anciently found one of its city distributing reservoirs. An inscription on the lower arch to the right records the repair of Aqua Claudia during the pontificate of Pope Sixtus V, in the year 1585. The arch was built as part of this extensive rehabilitation. ANUARY, I927 SAN FRANCISCO WATER.
