Marines piloting MV-22 Osprey aircraft

Marines piloting MV-22 Osprey aircraft with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (Reinforced) 265 based out of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Futenma, Japan, arrive at MCAS Iwakuni to conduct hot refueling with the Logistics Department Fuels Division by utilizing the Aircraft Direct Fueling System (ADFS) Oct. 30, 2017. The ADFS allows the aircraft to rotate crew, take on cargo or Marines and keep its engines running while accepting fuel. The pit is designed to distribute fuel to type-4 aircraft such as the KC-130J Hercules, MV-22 Osprey and the MH-60 Seahawk. ( Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Stephen Campbell)
