KUMASI, GHANA - NOVEMBER 2012 - Former President of Ghana, John Kufuor attends the Adae Kese festival in traditional Kumasi dress. The Adae Kese festival is an Ashanti festival held every 42 days, based on the Akan calendar, in Kumasi. It is a colourful celebration where the Ashanti tribal leaders gather to meet and offer traditional gifts such as schnapps to the Ashanti King. After the traditional gathering the King mingles and dances with the crowd.
