Hip inflammation. Coloured magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of the pelvis and hips of a 10-year-old male patient with severe pain in the left hip (right) for 2 days, making it impossible to walk and use the left foot. Seen here are hypersignals (white spots, right) at the level of the coxo-femoral joint, suggesting transient inflammation of the synovial membrane (synovitis) in the hip joint. Here, it is linked to a recently developed an ENT (ear, nose, throat)
