The umbihcal wall is low and the flanks weakly convex, converging towards a narrow venter bearing a high, simple keel. Ornamentation is fine and dense having a flat-topped appearance on most larger whorls. The largest specimen in the collection is in- complete but had an estimated diameter of at least 200 mm. Its last quarter whorl, which is apparently non- septate, is very weakly and densely ribbed. All ribs have a sinuous trend with a strong projection onto the venter. Type material. —Hololype: Oppel,
