Mahōra Thuk (กลองมโหระทึก) 14th–17th century possibly Thai Bronze drums first appearing during the Dongson period (ca. 700–100 ) had a wide distribution. They were prestigious items that increased the status of the owner, especially among the Karen of Thailand.
