OCEAN (April 11, 2017) Gunner's Mate Seaman Whittie Hall, from Macon, Ga., a food service attendant aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Kidd (DDG 100), prepares fruit for the Sailors while underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests the mission readiness of the strike group's assets through simulated real-world scenarios and their ability to perform as an integrated unit.
