A Roman silver-inlaid ink pot Augustan, 1st century AD. Partially copper-plated bronze with grey green patina. Cylindrical body with continuous silver-inlaid and finely engraved battle of Amazons. The upper rim with a double, silver-inlaid ornamental band. Traces of corrosion with a major flaw on one side, the bottom preserved in fragments. Height cm, diameter cm.
